Let's say I wanted to build a website where people can log in and do ... things. Back in the days I'd use PHP + MySQL to make all of this happen.
Is that still a good way to go? Or would you even write something like this from scratch in this day and age? Are there nice and simple frameworks out there that do most of what I need already?
I know this is a pretty broad question... :)
